Dedication of RASC Memorial Plaque in

St Johns Church, Perth.

To take place on 14th of October 2018, the service starts at 9.30 am and is also the church Harvest Festival.

The Chairman would like as many members of the branch along with wives and partners to attend as possible on the day.  Dress is Blazer, Tie and no Beret.

For those of you who do not know the history of the plaque it used to be on the wall in the old RASC Club, it was a memorial to members of the club who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars.

Since the club closed the plaque has been in Norrie Little’s loft.  Earlier this year Norrie asked Duncan Forbes to look at the bits and pieces he had from the club to see if any of it was worth saving as he was clearing out his loft, the plaque was thought to be important and was kept.

The plaque which required a small repair was handed over to Davy Taylor (the Perthshire Branch Chairman) who has arranged for it to be refurbished and placed in St Johns Church.

This is the church where our branch has its Remembrance service and it seemed appropriate to have the memorial there.

The next meeting on the 26th of October will be a BBQ.

It will be held in the St Johnsone Supporters Club, Barossa Street, Perth.

All members and partners are welcome to come along.
