Perthshire Branch, RASC / RCT Association, Scottish Region.

The Committee of Management is considering the format of the AGM with a possibility of discontinuing it completely.   With the upcoming move to Worthy Down getting closer and the many difficulties associated with the relocation, and the uncertainty of having the necessary staff to support the Association.

A member of the Association has put forward for discussion by all Branches and Regions  a Proposal that the AGM should be cancelled as it is mostly a duplication of the Committee of Management meeting and is proving to be very costly.

The proposal is “That the AGM be discontinued”

All branches hold their AGM and report to their Region and forward any updates including membership and statement of accounts to HQ.

All Regions hold an AGM and receive reports from their branches, the Regional Chairman provides an update from the Committee of management.

The Committee of management meets twice a year receiving updates from the representatives of the regions on their area.

Branch members are asked to discuss whether to stay with the status quo or to go with the proposed new format.

Please give this some thought and let your branch committee know your decision, branches will be expected to let the Regional Committee know at the Extraordinary Regional Committee meeting in April.
