Colleagues,

(With apologies for any email duplication)

Please find below a link to an Engagement Paper on Themes and draft Actions for possible inclusion in the Scottish Government’s new Suicide Prevention Action Plan.

This engagement paper is published today (8 March 2018).

Interested parties are invited to comment on the paper using the prompts on the Citizen Space site:

https://consult.gov.scot/mental-health-unit/suicide-prevention

If you prefer, written responses to the prompts in the paper can be submitted to: Suicide Prevention Engagement, Mental Health Unit, Scottish Government, 3ER, St Andrew’s House, Edinburgh EH1 3DG. If you are from an organisation, please state what organisation you are from.

(Please do not use this email address to respond to the engagement. Responses should be submitted only via the Citizen Space link or by post).

A series of public engagement events is taking place to support discussion about the engagement paper. Information about these events is at

 http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Health/Services/Mental-Health/Suicide-Self-Harm/SP2018

The period for comments ends on 30 April 2018.

After the engagement period ends, all responses submitted via the Citizen Space site or by post will be analysed to help inform development of the final version of a new Suicide Prevention Action Plan, which is due to be published in summer 2018.

If you have any queries about the engagement process, please email suicideprevention@gov.scot or call 0131 244 1837.
