Branch Member of the year award 2014
At the AGM of the Branch held on Thursday the 13th of February, Bill Booth was presented with the Branch member of the year award. This award is presented every year to a member of the branch who is considered to have been an exemplary member throughout the year. The award is held by the member until it is passed on to the next winner.
On Sunday the 29th June 2014 members of the Aberdeen Branch joined more than 1,000 representatives and veterans from the Army, RAF and Royal Navy as they marched down the city’s streets to mark Armed Forces Day.
St Andrew's night and Ladies Dinner night Friday the 28th of November 2014
A good night enjoyed by all, meal was excellent and was served perfectly by members of OTC. The band Blitzed did a sterling job of getting the dancers on the floor.
The Chairman John Brown and Vice Chairman Duncan Forbes of the Scottish region both attended as guests with their wives. Norrie Little from Perth also attended with his wife.
On Saturday the 17th of November the Branch took part in a Civic Reception organised by Aberdeen City Council, to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Corps of Transport. The Assistant Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeen was one of those who attended.
The reception was held in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum, and there was a very good turnout from the Branch.
Duncan Forbes Chairman of the Scottish Region and Willie Alexander President of the Perth Branch also attended.
