AOCB

I have a letter from Mr D Forbes, Regional Chairman that I have to read to the members. It is about the remarks on face book about the Cenotaph parade behaviour from some Veterans.

Mr Sam Cochrane apologised for this happening.

Mr Brian Kerr confirmed that Veterans were drinking on parade and smoking, Sam’s jacket had cigarette ash over it this was all done when on parade in the Mall.

Mr Kerr said that the organisation was nil. He suggested that for each section a WO2 or senior rank to keep control of the Parade.  He was also embarrassed at being asked what cap badge he had and if he had served.

Mr J Melville was at the Cenotaph but had to come home on the Sunday, Due to a bed becoming available at P R I for his Operation on the Monday.

Mr Melville Proposed that the members who go to represent our branch in London should get a drink as the ones who parade in Perth get one. Seconded by I Munro.                                                                     This was passed by the members.

Mr D Taylor  heard that rumours are being spread about his suitability to stand for the position of Chairman or Vice Chairman.

Mr D Taylor contacted Deepcut for clarification and was informed as per the rule book that as he was attached to the RASC, then RCT and then 153 Regt he is qualified to hold either position.

Mr A Gerard put in a claim for his expenses in for acting as Standard bearer.

Mr S Cochrane told members he was retiring from the branch as he has so much on with the Reservists and his business.

The members told him he was a life member and he can come back any time.

THE NEXT MEETING ON THE 26th JANUARY 2018

This is the Branch AGM.
