CHAIRMAN’S REPORT;

 

The Chairman reminded the members of the Dedication Service for the Plaque at St Johns Kirk on the 14th October at 9.30am. He proposed that the branch donate £50 to the Kirk.

 

seconded by W Alexander and the members passed the proposal.

 

The Chairman thanked all the members for the cards and condolences on his bereavement. Catriona was much loved by all.

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT;

 

The Vice Chairman and Secretary went to Leuchers for the monthly Veterans breakfast meeting on Wednesday the 5th September.

 

The Secretary sent a letter to the Aberdeen Branch with a cheque for £70. The Perthshire branch members decided to send them half of what the branch received from the Closure of the 212 Fund.

 

The Secretary received an Email from the Polish Ex- Combatants Association No 28 Perth Branch with an invitation to lay a wreath at Wellshill Cemetery on the 4th November 2018 at 3pm. RSVP.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT;

 

The Branch accounts continue to have a healthy balance.

 

SOCIAL CONVENER’S REPORT;

 

Mr Stirton told the members about the Remembrance Service at the Caird Hall on the 3rd November 2018.  Tickets cost £8 each members to meet at the St Johnstone Club at 5.30pm.

 

Mr Stirton also told members that the next branch meeting will be in the St Johnston club the wives and partners are invited, it will be a BBQ night.

 

BENEVOLENT;  

Branch member J Kerrigan is back in Perth Royal Infirmary.

     

PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH COMMITTEE MEMBERS IF YOU KNOW OF ANY MEMBERS IN HOSPITAL OR ILL AT HOME.

 

AOCB;

The members who are going to London for the Cenotaph Parade will receive £60 between them.

Mr Little asked about the number of poppy wreaths we need, 3 were requested.

The Vice Chairman asked about a laptop for the branch, to be used by the Secretary.

 

The Chairman asked Mr J Melville organise this.

 

Mr Stirton asked about putting an RASC / RCT SIGN on the back of the Sea Cadet mini bus. He has to get a price for  this.
