CHAIRMAN’S REPORT  

 

The Chairman told members that the Plaques for St Johns Kirk have been repaired and will be installed in the Kirk ASP. There will be a dedication service in due course.    

                                                       

The Secretary, the V/ Chairman and MR W Alexander met with a Mr Peter Kerr of the British Legion for Angus , Perth, Kinross and fife. He informed us about veteran’s breakfasts at various locations in the local areas.    

                                                                                                       

A reminder about the BBQ at the Bowling Club on Saturday 4th August 2018 at 4pm, £5 per head .

 

Reminder that donations ae required for the Charity Stall on the 25th August 2018.

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT      

                                                                             

The Secretary received an email from Perth Rotary about the Annual Charity Fayre on the 25th August 2018 to get our insurance etc. and send it to them ASP. The event Insurance cost £27 we are just waiting for times etc. from the Rotary.          

                                           

The Secretary now needs helpers and Donations for the Event can you please hand in to any committee member by the 22nd August 2018.

Mr A Stirton wants numbers for the BBQ on the 4th August.

Mr Donald McPhee has been in Ninewells Hospital, received a phone call telling me that he is home and feeling a lot better.. The Chairman went and visited Donald at home.

OF ANY MEMBERS IN HOSPITAL OR ILL AT HOME.

The Vice Chairman thanked Fiona for booking the Hotel for the Blackpool trip and Ally and Jimmy for all the driving and the organising and wise cracks. Val the tablet was gorgeous as usual.      

                                                                                         

On Tuesday Fiona booked us on the train at the ARBORETUM which was fantastic.          

                   

On Wednesday the men went to Manchester to the Imperial War Museum it was a great day out, the girls went shopping in Blackpool especially to a certain shop

 

On Thursday we all went to Liverpool and went on the Ferry on the Mersey it was a great day out and very interesting.    

 

On Sun the Parade was very good, then up to the Guards Club for drink and BBQ. The weather for the week was brilliant we couldn’t ask for more,

 

Thank you for all your company and as Sandra says what went on in BLACKPOOL stays in BLACKPOOL.    

 

 

Members asked about tickets for the Cenotaph in November trying to get more, the members had a debate about this and were told Deepcut only allocates 12 for Scotland, other Regiments ask for a lot more , RAF & RN.

 

Mr Alexander asked about the signatures for the branch cheque book, and was told Mr I Munro will be put on.
