PERTHSHIRE BRANCH

MINUTES OF THE MEETING  FOR 25TH AUGUST 2017

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:      

                                                                                               

The Chairman welcomed the members to the meeting.

 

The Chairman then had a discussion with the members regarding the purchasing of the wreaths for the Remembrance period.  

The members agreed that 6 would be enough, Mr K Rylance told them he had one from last year.    

 

The Chairman then informed the members about the AGM for the Scottish Region which is being held in the Sports Club on the 14th Oct 2017 at 1200hrs.

                                                 

The Chairman then reminded members about the dress and instructions for the Charity Fayre on Saturday 26th in King Edward St Perth and asked for a good turnout.

 

                                                                                                 

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

 

The Secretary received a grant for the BBQ from Deepcut on the 29th July.

The Annual Perth branch BBQ was held at the Perth Bowling club at the North Inch.

 

The Secretary was in Blackpool last week, with another member Mr I Munro. We visited the FYLDE MEMORIAL ARBORETUM where our branch members took part in the parade 3yrs ago, it has been further improved since then.

       

TREASURER’S REPORT:

                                                                                       

The branch has had a very good month.

SOCIAL CONVENER’S REPORT:

 

Mr Stirton told the members the BBQ was a great success.

 

Mr Stirton also informed members of a possible trip next year to Litchfield and various places possibly ending in Blackpool for the end of Veterans week.  

 

Proposed by   A Stirton.                                                                                                                                      Seconded by  D Taylor.    

                                                                                       

The members requested more information on this trip and asked Mr Stirton to proceed with enquiries.

AOCB:

 

A Donkey Derby is being held in the St Johnston Club on the 6 OCTOBER 2017 for the Sea Cadets by A McDonald.
