Members of Edinburgh, Fife and Perthshire Branches attended the opening of the Edinburgh Garden of Remembrance in Princes Street, Edinburgh on the 30th of November.
The opening event sees wreaths laid in memory of those who have fallen in conflict. The garden includes a Poppyscotland Field of Remembrance on the western side of the Scott Monument, where thousands of remembrances crosses have been planted, both the garden and the field are open until 11 November.
Edinburgh Branch Chairman Lt Col (Retd) Allan Hamilton joined representatives of Regimental Associations, Veterans and Serving Service Personnel in laying a wreath at the opening event.
Standard bearers from the British Legion with Service and Regimental Association standards take part in the ceremony, and line up at the side of the Scott Monument along with a Legion Scotland piper and bugler.
The Standard Bearers from Edinburgh, Fife and Perthshire Branches were present with their Standards.
The AGM of the Scottish Region was held in Perth
on Saturday the 14th 0f October.
Delegates from all of the Scottish branches attended, and voted the Regional Committee back into office for another year.
John Brown who is the former Chairman of the Association and Jimmy Purves Secretary of the Edinburgh Branch were presented with mugs commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Association, although neither have been there quite that long.
